Susan Cowsill
Country-rock queen Susan Cowsill makes a relatively rare jaunt to the Marigny neighborhood with this Frenchmen Street gig, giving downtowners who get nosebleeds crossing Canal Street the chance to bask in the warmth of her rootsy strumming on their own turf. Her monthly 'Covered In Vinyl" shows at Carrollton Station have become a cult favorite for her take on wildly disparate, iconic albums " which in past months have included everything from Revolver to Tapestry to London Calling to Ziggy Stardust . For this gig, the honky-tonk angel will shed her many guises and play her own light, sunny folk-pop. Tickets $5. " Alison Fensterstock
