Gambit Weekly's Restaurant Guide by Cuisine

by Sarah Andert, Will Coviello, Faith Dawson, Daisy Dodge, Alison Fensterstock, Caroline Goyette, Lindsay Hilton, Trip McCormick, Ian McNulty, David Lee Simmons, Michael Patrick Welchand David Winkler-Schmit

Gambit Weekly's Winter Restaurant Guide couldn't come at a worse time: right before Lent. Just when the period of abstinence kicks in, the guide brings readers a big, tempting survey of culinary indulgence. There are too many burger joints, chefs' tables, sushi bars, pizza parlors and steakhouses to resist temptation. Give up everything else, but not coffeeshops or Creole landmarks. Keep going to the Chinese restaurants and new taquerias. Forsake all the other earthly pleasures and vices, but keep necessary sustenance. It's the prudent thing to do.

The guide is arranged by cuisine type and includes information about menus, hours of operation, reservation policies and more. Peruse the guide for new places to try or check the index to find what categories include your favorite restaurants.

Enjoy. But only as much as absolutely necessary.
