#5 YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A PEDICAB RACE
While human powered pedicabs are a great eco-friendly way to avoid traffic and get from point A to B in downtown New Orleans, manual power can only get you to your destination so fast. But how fast? Pedal With Purpose will answer that question! It promises to be thrill-packed race of non-professional pedallers testing the ultimate speed of their awesome adult trikes. Hilarity may ensue as bankers, lawyers and media types frantically careen to the finish line.
#4 MARCH WITH THE 100
The thundering power of the St. Aug Marching 100 resonates across New Orleans during carnival season, but once Ash Wednesday falls, you may not see the Purple Knights for quite some time. You are in luck, because the famous marching band will headline the festivities of Pedal With Purpose.
#3 EAT ON OCH
From the oyster bar at Dryades Public Market to the cluster of food stalls at the Roux Carre incubator, Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard has become a foodie destination for locals and visitors. Eat your way down OCH at the Pedal With Purpose community street fair, where many of the neighboring restaurants will have food booths set-up for the day. Let the smorgasbourg-ing commence.

#2 SUPPORT YEP
The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is growing. And if you haven’t heard of them yet, now is the time to pay attention. YEP now runs 11 programs out of six locations that provide more than 1,000 youths annually with GED and literacy services and mentoring. The organization also prides itself on job skills development. A thrift store, bike shop and graphic design program are just three of the unique programs that you can support while aiding YEP’s mission. Visit http://www.youthempowermentproject.org to learn more about this special non-profit that is making New Orleans a better place.
#1 CHEER FOR GAMBIT
Okay. So full-disclosure. We want you at Pedal With Purpose so you can cheer for us. We are air-pedaling at our desks and running faux-drills around the office, all so that we can stake our claim as New Orleans’ best AND fastest media company. We always aim to make New Orleans proud. So join us on Sunday, March 26 and cheer for #TeamGambit. If you also want to sponsor our team and make a tax-deductible donation to YEP, to help fulfill their worthy community mission, that’s cool too.
