This is the first time I have read the WHOLE story. In 1987, I was living away from New Orleans, and missing it terribly (I came back in 1989). This was my weekly fix of N'awlins. It was so authentic. I felt like I had met every character at some point in real life. I remember trying to find it on TV after every time slot move.
This is was TV at it's best. I would love to buy the DVDs. My favorite episodes? The one with the bum that wouldn't leave, and the one where Frank's white lawyer friend tried to convince his genteel family that he and Frank were a gay couple. The first was thoughtful and sweet, the latter simply hilarious!
