Re: “New Orleans Recycling Returns

To clarify: Recycling at City Hall and the Main Library is in-house only. Recyclables will not be accepted at those locations.

Re: “Neil Young brings the noise to Jazz Fest

Thanks, Mr. Smith. Didn't mean to exclude any Nelsons. I was impressed with the different kinds of shows Neil can put on over the last few times he's played in town.

Re: “Y@ Speak: 10 years and some days later

Hm. Storify is notoriously glitchy. You can try the story on the Storify website itself: https://storify.com/yat_speak/y-speak-8-24…

Re: “A very specific list of what you can't bring to Mardi Gras parades

Here's city code: "It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or drink from any opened glass container in or on any public right-of-way, including any street, sidewalk, park or alley within one block of a Mardi Gras parade route, two hours before the published beginning time of the parade, during the parade, or within one block of the published disbanding area of the parade within two hours of the published or actual ending time of the parade, whichever occurs later."

As for "metal" containers, here's the reference to them in city code: "It shall be unlawful for owners of establishments which sell beverages in glass or metal containers in the city to knowingly allow any person to leave the premises of such establishment carrying an opened glass or opened metal container."

When in doubt, pour it in a cup.
