I am against building the new stadium. I remember the old one as I was at Tulane at the time. I think it is a waste of money, regardless of how other alumni feel about it. I hope it doesn't get built.

I also saw Tulane beat LSU once there. Big deal.
I don't understand why the Indians are being harassed. What justification does the police department have to do this at all? Are drugs, fights, shootings involved? Is this a race thing? With the Indians having such a long (proud) tradition how can the police be confused/ignorant about what they do unless there are real crimes involved?
I'm a northerner who went to Tulane back in the 70s and have been following the culture of New Orleans ever since then.
I enjoyed reading these. I too have reviewed the parades but not in person. I watched them on the WDSU cam and the nola.com paradecam from up in NY. I blogged them here: http://lipwak.blogspot.com/
Most are laundry lists rather than real writing (writing to be read) but I'd be curious if anyone can answer any of the questions I had or had any comments.
Sorry for the self-promotion. I don't like it but I am curious what you think.
