If someone is so stupid as to deface a historic building they are too stupid to go to college, so the fact that they do not get a student loan is immaterial.

People with disabilities have every right to use every public service just as anyone else.
When I was a kid I rode that streetcar to school, I rode in the front, while Black folks rode in the back. Today Black folks can ride in the front or the back, but people with disabilities can't ride it at all.
Segregation seems to be acceptable to you; but it's not to me.

I'd like to see Bachmann debate Zack Kopplin on whether ID should be taught in school, whether it is science, what is "science." I'd pay $30 to see that debate.
And yes, why didn't the other reporters pin her down to demand she start naming Nobel laureates who support her?
One reason is because they do not know how to listen and recognize opportunities that arise in the moment. Had all of them stayed together and insisted that she name Nobel laureates they would have had a great story.
Instead they were only interested in getting their individual questions answered, but sorry, politicians do not answer questions, they just blather on, and they do so because reporters allow them to do so.

Nice travel story about Quebec, but "no" New Orleans is not a European city; and it is unlike any city in the U.S.A.; it is a unique city, unlike any other city.

"Quincy" granite came from a quarry in Quincy, Ma; been closed for a very long time. But in its day it produced a lot of granite and with its proximity to Boston it was probably easy to ship to N.O. Also, I suspect that the good "Captain" if he was a sea captain, probably knew about Quincy granite as he probably sailed in or out of Boston.
