Re: “Tartine

This place is delicious and the presentation is gorgeous. I ate there two weeks ago for lunch and loved it.

Damnit, Ian, I'm going to have to wait in a longer line for my crawfish now.

Re: “Carving Up the Parishes

2 seats out of six is 33.33%, the black population is 32%. That's why 2 out of 6. Your unsubstantiated claim that the registered voters of African American descent make up a smaller percentage is not only unsubstantiated and wrong, but also irrelevant to representation. In 2008, African American voters made up 30.5% of registered voters.

Re: “What in the world is happening to Armstrong Park?

Hey brokeithx, put down the crack pipe. C. Ray Nagin and A.M.E. Disaster Recovery Services are 100% responsible for Armstrong Park, Landrieu is just cleaning up after their mess. Edward Chatman and Herman Weston, who own A.M.E., were big Nagin donors and Morial donors, donating the maximum of $5,000 before Nagin's election and amounts thereafter, and have been chosen for a lot of other contracts they've also bungled, mismanaged and committed arguable illegal acts while administering, singling out the National Contractor Services Co., which was run by Herman Weston.

You want to hate on somebody in government? Hate on the Morial and Nagin administrations for blatant cronyism to the detriment of the populace.

Re: “Who are the "rabbit men" on Falstaff Brewery?

I think "the hero" was also on display in a corner gallery in the CBD last year, I recall walking past it, but not the name of the gallery. It was very difficult to miss.
