I did a round of Jury Duty last summer for the month of July. It was interesting to see the "process" and how it operates. This description is accurate. I found myself in 3 trials. I was impressed the most by Keva Landrum Johnson and her directions and presence as a judge. 2 other judges seemed rather lame in the care they took with instructions to the jurors. I think everyone that lives in Orleans ought to do it just to know how the system works in this city. If it's a hardship financially maybe not... but if you have time and get summoned be open to seeing the cross strata of people.
I couldn't agree more. If we had more politicians taking a lesson or two from this man, we'd be in a better place. I hope he can retain his seat as my representative.
