Here's wishing you a super-fast recovery!
No body does it like Chris Rose!!! You Rock!!!
p.s. - I agree wit de 'get a transcriber' note.
Did the City Council pass this - rather decide to enforce this - Law before or after Mayor Landrieu took office?
I just don't see him being in favor of it. Maybe I'm a Pollyanna, but I believe (and hope with ALL my heart) that 'things' will slide comfortably back into that laissez faire & the street players will be able to play til the wee hours again ... soon.
The French Quarter is just another run of the mill tourist trap without our New Orleans cultural uniqueness - our food, our music & yes, even the bottle-cap-tap-dancers in the streets, and Quarter folks like Ruthie & Chicken Man(God rest their souls).
Sign me Homesick and disgusted 'bout dis mess in Vegas, baby.

I LOVE IT!
I have fond memories of living in the Quarter & gettin' slap happy 'cause it was 'Big Trash Night.' I got half of my slave quarter apartment furnished that way.
As Always - Kudos, Mr. Rose.
Homesick in Las Vegas,

As alway, succinct & to the point.
Mr. Rose, you are without a doubt, my favorite columnist in the universe.
Well, ya know, dollin,' Chery & Michelle could easily be mistaken for each other if dat N'Awlins accent is woikin' 100 percent. ;-)
I always enjoy reading you, Chris, and this time is no exception.
As usual, you've made me even more homesick than I was prior to this moment.
Happy Birthday.
Mr. Rose - you rock! Love this letter to Mayor Landrieu. I'm very hopeful that Landrieu will be able to clean up a lot of the mess left to him.
Homesick in Las Vegas,
