This is one of the most uplifting stories I've read about New Orleans' history in a long, long time. There must be something in the soil at the JCC that causes people to behave well at that location. I've been to the JCC fields and seen young Jews and Muslims playing baseball together, forgoshsakes. And I was at the game to watch the son of a friend... a Lebanese Catholic no less... play the game. Maybe we can get the various factions in the Middle East to the JCC for their negotiations. Perhaps peace and understanding would come out of it. As I say: what a lovely story.
