THE GOVERNOR NEEDS TO DEMONSTRATE "leadership", not talk about it.
In stead of yearly cutting the health care and education budgets, a constitutional admendment should have been proposed by the governor to permit a balance of cutting to provide for a balanced budget, beyond the education and health care, or other quality of life issues. The other legislators share in the blame, but the "Leadreship" governor needs to lead not blame and find excuses, but problem solve. if you care about the harm you are doing to the people of this state. Quality businesses looking to relocate here consider "Quality of Life" issues; education, health care, crime, housing, cost of living, not just taxes alone but "compassionate conservatism".
Additional concern for the governor is a AUDIT. All of the governors travels not directly associated with "state business" need to be aduited for cost and reimbursment.
The governor is no longer the governor when he passes state lines, yet he receives a pay check and the steta police travel to protect him, cost hotel, travel expense, car rentas, food and other associated. It may be customary to pay for these expenses, but if you pay for them then don't cut the education or health care budget and still reward the governor for not doing his part to be a fiscal censervative. I request a AUDIT of expenses paid for by our tax dollars. Show if the state is repaid and by whom and if not, what did the citizens get as a result of spending their money. In my opinion, this whole week the governor is out of state should be on his dime. Security and his salary enndes to be denied him and his book publisher or his personal budget should pay for his and security's entire expenses, New York talk shows, Republican Governor's meeting and the Los Angeles book tour and fund raisning should come from his personal money not from the state and a independent audit should be conducted to verify.
The audit should also follow the trails for all travels, for reason, cost and justification then review how paid for and the net results.
