This is beyond parody. As you rightly noted, the cover of him looking out the window shows him as an observer rather than a leader-in-action.
"Volume 1?" Are you kidding me?
"Elegaic?" Now I know you're kidding me.
Also, I hate the focus on "the storm" of Katrina, which reinforces harmful myths about what happened to the city. I guess that's one of the "secrets" discussed inside the book, by this self-proclaimed "recovery expert."
There's no reason we have to run around hiding from them, or telling ourselves we're lucky the fines aren't higher. Jefferson Parish had the cameras and then stopped using them. No reason why New Orleans can't also do so.
Let's put the issue to a vote just one time, that's all I'm asking.

"Gatemouth," as Ashley Morris called her, is pretty unbearable for me.
Not being able to insert the "cookie monster" nickname or the "dodgeball" reference are the big regrets in a ten year career? These so-called "confessions" were disappointing, to say the least.
And the "tales" were a huge collection of "you had to be there" moments. Now, if you had already impishly emptied the Crown Royal one night and replaced it with iced tea... and then you let the ex-player/analyst take it home as a gift-- that would've been somewhat entertaining.
This was well-written, but PLEASE tell me there were more interesting moments than these.
Just saw the debut commentary-- very well done! Look forward to tuning in every week to hear more.
