Before Katrina, this was the best Indian rest. in the area, in my humble opinion. After Katrina, a friend from college, whom I hadn't seen in 40 years, and who is an anthro. prof. in L.A., came to town. Proudly, I took him here. The WORST meal I have eaten in my life--the little I did eat. Burnt bread, lousy service, revolting looking and tasting "food." I was mortified.
Re: “"Pagliacci" and "Carmina Burana"”
Pagliacci was entertaining and well-performed; the crowd scenes were a delight. Carmina Burana was brilliantly staged and performed--far better than I've seen here. The music was excellently done, and a joy; tempo just right. I continue to have major problems with the lighting, however. It is boring. It lacks both imagination and skill. Please. Spotlights? How about some side beams in color, to enhance the moment? To catch and spark the dancing? Lighting makes all the difference, and most people, and reviewers, are not even awareof it. Help!
