James Beard award winning writer or not, Mr. Ozersky sounds like a food snob. I love the good old school New Orleans food as well as the newer, more innovative cuisines. I also love tasting food from many different cultures. Twenty years ago, sushi was considered exotic to many but is now commonplace. The rise of something new does not necessarily mean the demise of the old. Variety is the spice of life and there is enough room for all of us at the table.
