Argus has been a waste of a krewe for years, with half of its floats being little more than rolling corporate billboards and the other half barely connected to whatever the parade's nominal theme might be. The organisation's in it for the advertising dollars and they haven't really given a care about Mardi Gras in a long, long time. Some years they don't even really try. A real embarrassment to carnival. I wouldn't miss them in the least if they disappeared.

Annnnnnnnnd ONCE AGAIN, the State of Louisiana is getting set to waste a few million taxpayer dollars in district and Federal court defending a legal theory which has already been shot down numerous times as flatly unconstitutional. Just how many times does Baton Rouge need to get smacked with the fact of church/state separation?
