I love all of this BBQ/smoking/grilling in New Orleans. The one thing I'd like to see these places do is add a smoked burger to their menus. I've had them in other cities and they can be wondrous. it would be a nice addition to both the burger and BBQ scenes.
So what happens to the employees after the closure, since construction on the new location is nowhere to be seen? Nothing but a notice to vacate and hope you have a good life? No recognition of their situation at all in this story.
And this is why the Jazzfest tickets cost so much, so that the locals can have these free concerts throughout the year.
There are so many things I want to say about this action and this governor that I find it hard to distill them into something cogent and meaningful, but here it goes. Are you F*%@#^G serious, Bobby!!? What world are you living in? I despise you and your false values. You put citizens of our state in danger and don't care. All for the purpose of power and prestige. Well, you're soon to find out how badly you've misstepped. I won't beg people from other states to overlook this atrocious act and spend their money here. You need to be taught a lesson in consequences, even though we're the ones that will suffer. Realize that your political future is doomed and you might start acting like a human being and do something beneficial for your state. Be gone. PLEASE!!!
I'll be in that number. I've always been an LSU Tigers fan, but this is a great day in New Orleans sports, so my support is with Tulane and it's football team this Saturday.
They do move. Last year I caught a tribe on Orleans at N. Robertson. And the cops definitely made their presence known.
I've been waiting for someone in the media to recognize this rebirth of boxing in New Orleans. These facilities offer an opportunity to change lives for many of our young people. Both boys and girls can benefit from the physical and mental training boxing provides. I have been to events at Crescent City Boxing Gym and I'm here to tell you it is a great experience. The building is an old warehouse that Mr. Smith has converted and even though it maintains its structural origins, he's done a very good job at making it comfortable and accessible. And it just feels right when you're there watching the competitors in the ring, duking it out with skill and strategy. These are high caliber events. I'm pumped up about the resurgence of the sweet science in New Orleans. If you are at all interested, make sure you attend one of the events around town. You'll be hooked.
