Interesting take. It would seem that you have a rather one-sided and negative POV of Britney Spears. And despite your thoughts on how she and her career are approached, she manages to remain an international phenomenon. Also, though she does lip-sync during performances, there are many people, as research has indicated, that want to listen to music in the form it was originally developed. Does she have a great voice? No. Thus, why distract from the created sound and performance aspect simply to hear her sing live? The familiarity of her voice combined with the efforts of all those who come together to create the "image" of Britney Spears with all the pomp and show is what we pay for. She and her team must be doing something right. It will be very interesting to see if your POV changes if you ever become as recognizable as the one whom you so deeply despise.
