I think Louisiana has gone backward rather than forward. I don't think anyone could make a credible argument that we are better off today. Political polarization is bringing this state, this nation and the world to it's knees. Both sides have no need to compromise and pu t the good of the whole ahead. The reason for this is that extremists have take control of the republican party. It is no longer the same party. We need some people with guts to stand up to the extremists and say, " we fought a civil war to save the union. Our strength is and always will be as a whole rather than the parts" let us please remember this
