Re: “New Orleans Festivals Guide: October 2014

I think the date for Art for Arts Sake is incorrect. Should be the 4th not the 14th.

Re: “Ten parade tips for members of dance and walking krewes

I'm in a walking krewe, a dance group and a "real" krewe. Riding on a float is fun but not nearly as fun as being on the ground with the crowds. THAT is a huge thrill and I'll take over riding any day.

WTF why YOU join a "real" krewe instead of putting down all the dance group that practice all year and spend a lot of money on their costumes?

Re: “New Orleans Beer Bars

Did the writer even step foot in Avenue Pub? They only have a handful of taps upstairs, the majority are downstairs, both with "serious" selections. And while they have many local and regional beers on tap, they also have beers from across the world plus beers you cannot get anywhere else in the USA. That is NOT an exaggeration.

I think the Mid-City Bulldog is bigger than the Magazine Street location and has just as many, if not more, taps, plus a larger courtyard.

Abita's not in New Orleans. But if you are going to talk about the Northshore, you have to mention Barley Oak.
