umm.. I did not expect an actual response. I'll start by saying that the reason that you haven't heard my comedy is because I was awful, performed for maybe two weeks at open mics in NoLa and am now working on a goat farm in southern New Mexico (only two hours outside of Pie Town.) Sorry about the personal attack, but I do feel that the Michael Ian Black anecdote undercut your story. If the point was to address the challenges of performing comedy in New Orleans and attracting an audience there were better ways to do it.
where does the ian black story even enter into this? what does it have to do with anything? "i've never heard of comedy in new orleans and this guy had a shitty time, so that must be why."
