I didn't know about this poll, and I use the bridge every day -- sometimes several times. Do I want to pay tolls? No. Do I want bridge police, lights, maintenance and ferry service -- which I also use frequently? Yes.
It's easy for someone who lives uptown and works downtown to say they don't want tolls. There is not a daily impact on them.
There have been polls that don't just ask "do you want tolls?" that indicate that many do want to keep what the toll pay for, and they are willing to pay 40 cents to make it happen.
