There isn't anything embarrassing about Louisiana(well, our education system n politics but there getting better), if anything it makes us home sick being away from a state that has drive thru daiquiri shops and weekend festivals with great food and of course great cajun music. I now live in Texas as do many Louisianian's, the folks back home are so much more easy to get along with. The Jersey shore is a show about drunks, drug heads and sluts, what's there to be proud of? None of these shows(you can't count MTV shows, none of them are from Louisiana) are drug and drunk fueled kids, these shows represent Louisiana having hard working strong family valued people. If you are ashamed of that, then you SUCK! From Bill the Exterminator, Sons of Guns, Swamp People to Duck Dynasty these are all interesting people, and this is what makes our state so damn interesting. Larry the Cable guy said it best(he's done more shows in the state of Louisiana than any other state)"In Louisiana I could do an entire season of Only in America. There are so many interesting people in this state" He said his crew always has a great time and are treated like family. I don't know about you, but I'm not embarrassed. As for these new shows that may bring out of state folks to act like idiots, don't blame Louisiana for that.
