I appreciate the Gambit's aggressive coverage of this travesty. I feel like people in my generation (30 to 40 year olds) don't really get it - most of them are saying "who cares" if the paper isnt' published four days a week. What they are missing, of course, are the massive newsroom cuts which will ineviatably follow. Is there anything reporters and TP employees are saying how we, the readers and subscribers, can help? Should we cancel our subscriptions or will that just make matters worse? I found some contact information for the parent company and plan on registering my complaints. Anyway, thanks again to the Gambit.
Re: “City announces another record-breaking year for Hollywood South”
Which cost the state millions in revenue which in turn leads drastic cuts mental healthcare and higher education . This is not good news for the average citizen of New Orleans and Mitch's press release (which the Gambit has simply summarized for us) would be more amusing superimposed next to his ad infinitum complaints about state budget cuts. Enough.
