As you read my writings, always try to remember that the poor people living in impoverished communities are the real victims. They are the ones suffering the MOST! They see what’s occurring in their neighborhoods, schools and playgrounds first hand. They are the ones who know “THE TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH and NOTHING but the TRUTH”! Please don’t take my word for it! Go out and ask them for yourselves!
There as far too many good people living in impoverished areas of the city of New Orleans. Good people who are afraid to leave their homes at night and even more afraid to allow their children to play outside during the day! Some of the schools in the city have become so violent and dangerous that many parents have recently opted out of Public Education and have enrolled their children in On-Line Educational Programs.
Therefore, I am “DEMANDING” that the so-called fair minded News Media of New Orleans actually go out and talk with the good residents of the Ninth Ward, as well as, residents located in other blighted parts of the city. If you are feeling really “LUCKY” go out about midnight! Ask the residents, if they fear for their lives and the lives of their family members each and every day. Ask them, how many members of their immediate family and close friends are addicted to alcohol, tobacco and drugs! Also, ask them how many unnecessary funerals have that personally attended in the last 12-months? Do” NOT” be surprised when they tell you that what Mr. Traina has been spewing about the crime problems plaguing their communities is “THE TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH and NOTHING but the TRUTH”!
QUESTION: Mr. Traina how do you know all these things about what it’s like to live in blighted and impoverished communities across America.
ANSWER: I have been interviewing people living in those communities for the past 30-years. Imagine that, a so-called lilly-white racist white guy who actually took the time to talk and listen to people of all races, creeds and colors (As well as, a few fat people) living in impoverished communities in the greater New Orleans area, as well as, those same types of communities across America.
FACT: “Good parents know that structure, discipline and respect for authority MUST start in the home or it will NEVER end up in the SCHOOL”! Additionally, children need to be on a FIXED schedule-a time to go to bed, a time to get up, a time to play, a time to go to school, a time to do homework and a time to study.
FACT: Being a former substance abuse counselor I know that the very first step in the process is to STOP blaming others and simply admit to yourself and entire the world that you have a problem. Crime is a major problem plaguing blighted and impoverished communities in the greater New Orleans area, as well as, throughout America. It is time to admit to ourselves and the rest of the world that we have a problem. Only at that point, can we begin to work together as “ONE NATION UNDER GOD” to solve the crime problem in America.
REQUEST: My fellow Americans, I am hereby formally requesting that we STOP bashing one another around and actually begin to do something to solve the crime problems facing this Great Nation?
God please place your Blessings on the good residents of the Great City of New Orleans, as well as, people struggling throughout America!
PS: In all honesty, I MUST admit that I “NEVER” really enjoyed interviewing “fat people”.
