Re: “James Gill jumps from The Times-Picayune to The Advocate

Mr. Gill-
Thanks...
and to nawlinsguy...
"why read NOLA.scum".?
Please, Please, PLEASE!!!!!
NEVER READ OR EVEN CLICK ON ANY "DIRTY TP"-
Newhouse or Advanced Sites.
As Kevin has outlined, and Mr. Gill and so many others have proven they are evil- and must be boycotted.

Re: “VIDEO: 60 Minutes on cutbacks at The Times-Picayune

What about the New Orleans Daily Advocate myself and 20,000+ (and growing) get delivered on our doorsteps everyday?
Watching this 60 min. segment was like reading the Dirty TP, a poorly done, shallow waste of time...

Re: “The Fight to Save The Times-Picayune

It's 8AM-Sunday -September 30th-
We have been vandalized- I'm pissed and need to vent-
Somebody threw a bag filled with that "Dirty Nasty TP" on my front door this AM, and I was fool enough to pick it up thinking it was our first Sunday Advocate.
The vandals even wrote some half witted- ass kissing apology saying we had some form of free subscription.
When I called the Dirty TP to demand they cease and desist with trespassing and vandalizing my property - 1.800.925.0000- I was told to expect more-
What a bunch of Turd Burglin NINYMUGGINS!!!!

Re: “Suspected Marigny child deserter faces lesser charge than guy who wrote six words on wall several blocks away

Charles-
On the same page, but only for 1/2.
Your links must go to Cindy Chang's TP Prison series.
That's my problem, Shes now at the LA Times (I believe?) and my passion blinded logic won't let me look at you links because I would hit dirty TP/ Newhouse sites.
Call me an "Ass" (many have + will continue to), but I'm frustrated with all this- and lashed out at you.
You site evidence I can't open because I want a better NOLA.
And it's not just any evidence- it's the most valuable and most important local Journalism done Post K and I can't open it.
Irony sucks when it's tragic.
That said- I have my own axe to grind- so my other selective logic=
It's good some graffiti = a Felony- Hopefully this encourages most who do it here to return home were it's needed and better appreciated. Besides their tags only distract from our local work that starts with "RIP".

p.s. Charles -
My favorite- look at this map:
http://uptownmessenger.com/2012/07/uptown-…
See who's left out and where boundaries ends?
i.e - Our neighborhoods Cindy Chang and others exposed as having the highest incarceration rates in the World!!!!.
Too bad nobody noticed or cared enough to get them included...

Re: “The Fight to Save The Times-Picayune

It's been months since my home had a local Sunday paper, and I almost broke twice.
The first time I got as far as the Barista behind the counter at Village Coffee, before I realized the transplanted talent I stood in front of was a recent English Grad from Loyola, desperately doing what it takes to stay and not follow the easy money out of NOLA. I walked back home empty handed.
The second time I thankfully found the machine empty and vandalized with glue in the coin slot.
Good lord I miss my Sunday paper!!!!
Just 13 more days...
THANK YOU MR. David Manship and all the rest, there is "light at the end of this tunnel, and it's not a train"

Re: “Civil Service Changes

Kudos to the Gambit and Charles Maldonado for the coverage.
This issue lacks the glitz and glamor that drives New Orleanians to follow and form opinions, but it's the most important fix needed to slow and hopefully end our dysfunctions in City Government.
Thank you Mr. Kopplin, Father Wildes, Mayor Landrieu, and others (yes even PANO) who are working on reforms. It's a thankless job, so lets us know what and how we can help.
