It needs a FiT Japanese store. And a Yankee Candle store (nearest is in Lafayette!). And a freakin' Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop!
I've clicked around NOLA.com the past few days and I have to say that links don't always work or take forever to load, letters are sometimes missing from words and words omitted in sentences, questions about special issues (elections, Black Friday ads, Saints coverage, anything major that might happen on a non-print day) are not being addressed, how people who can't afford smartphones or internet and the elderly and infirm who can't get to a computer or know how to use one will be getting daily news/classifieds/obits/etc.... Well, of course, none of that really matters to the rich, insensitive, arrogant carpetbaggers who own the T-P. I hope you lose shirt on this "brilliant" business model.
Just like our grocery stores, not 24/7.
And what about the Thanksgiving Day paper edition containing all of the Black Friday ads? The paper ads are necessary for planning and, at Walmart, price matching. Yes, to many people, this matter is frivolous. I hate that we aren't going to have a daily paper. I loathe the restructuring and mass firing of employees. What will the tourists use? This new formation may have worked in Ann Arbor but, last time I checked, Ann Arbor isn't the massive tourist destination that New Orleans is. What will be the special edition policy? And not everyone can afford Internet or smart phones.
