The draw for digital news will probably be reader interaction, that is, reader comments on articles. The challenge will be to encourage legitimate thoughtful commentary instead of the usual bickering that always develops in a thread. The Washington Post has done fairly well with this after a bit of patient work. Many times the commentators scoop the reporters on their own stories with powerful knowledge and research. NOLA.com doesn't have a chance to pull something like that off.
