I am in full agreement with this commentary. Mathews' poor performance in the restructuring does not bode well for the TP as an organization. The treatment of employees, talented contributors to this community, was nothing short of disgraceful, the box sign is further proof that these henchman- Mathews, Amos and Newhouse- have no respect for anything but the bottom line and their own skins. And, hiding behind Katrina as a justification shows they have no moral fiber. The only way I want to see Mathews cover New Orleans is through his rear view mirror with Jim Amos in the trunk on their way out of town. Someone should take a Fat Wad out on them - send them your spittle. Good luck to the dedicated staff that has carried on the award winning, and superior literary traditions of the T/P, where ever they have landed.
