For those of us old enough to remember the New Orleans Pelicans minor league baseball team, I would love to see the name brought back. The Pelicans have a long history in NO sports. The team was founded in 1877 and during its history such great MLB players as Shoeless Joe Jackson, Dizzy Vance, Bob Lemon and Earl Weaver played for this team at some point or another. The logo is part of our sports history. I hope the NO Hornets revive the name.
