Any amount of breastfeeding you do is beneficial to your baby. WHO recommends a minimum of TWO years. While the nutritional contribution of breastmilk decreases as the child ages, breastmilk still packs power with immunological defense. A child's immune system is not fully developed until they are around 6 years old. Breastmilk can help them fight off all manner of illness in a way that is natural and healthy. This is not to say you NEED to breastfeed your child until they are six :) I'm just trying to illustrate that as long as you and your child want to breastfeed, it is going to provide benefit.
