This is not about how much or how little lawyers are going to make. Clearly, they shall make a bundle. It's about fulfilling a contract. When permitting to dig a channel in the wetlands you are contractually required to repair the damage. Period. I have a camp on Lake Catherine. If I want to dig a hole or build a road on MY PROPERTY, I have to contract w/ the Corps and state. Part of that contract is mitigation and wetland restoration. Fair enough - I'm agreeable to that. I guaranty that if I fail that part of the contract, THEIR lawyers would be on me like gravy on rice. So the truth of it is that I must honor my contracts and large, politically connected corporations do not? Yes?
