A hotdog chef? What is that exactly?
To those who have written about "American hotdogs", I agree 100%. I lived in Europe for 27 years. The American hotdog is not remotely similar to say German wieners, French Sauscise de Strausbourg, Polish paroufke. These have been around for hundreds of years. There is no filler. Europeans do not pump their chickens to make them fatter for instance. The same holds true with encased meats. That was the raisin d'être for Dat Dog. It is a European Sausage & Weiner company with lashings of all that is good and great from my home state of Louisiana. We don't make our own sausages. We have them made for us both locally as well as a 2nd generation German sausage company. I didn't build my own car for instance and reference. Dreamy Weenies is great. I love their location. I love that they are local as are we. However, I don't believe either Dat Dog nor Dreamie Weenies would or should be known as typical American hotdog establishments. We're not. Skip Murray - Dat Dog
