Re: “Mitch Landrieu: I won't be running for governor

What is interesting is, that is exactly what David Vitter wants. A Democrat coming in second in the Open Primary. Even if it was Mitch Landrieu. Vitter would win. The only scenario where he could lose is if a moderate Republican, that appealed to Democratic Voters, came in second and siphoned some Republican votes.

Re: “Ray Nagin’s bid for a new trial

Wouldn't it be interesting if Ray,Ray did win a new trial, was convicted again and this time without his groupie Berigan he received a REAL sentence that was closer to the sentencing guidelines. Oh, this would be so beautiful. Watch what you ask for Ray Ray the crook, you just might get it.

Re: “The 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival: Week One

Quentin Davis, you have finally done it. You have been able to schedule Lady Gaga. What a Coup. I do not think there is another more Soulful, Jazz Oriented performer in the world. I do not think there is anything else that could have added more to Jazz Fest's Heritage then to have Lady Gaga perform. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Re: “Schools out

This could very well be a blessing is disguise. Because of Jindal's total ineptness and distraction from promoting himself, by default, the Legislature may actually be forced to act like a Governmental Body or Branch of Government instead of a Lap Dog of whoever happens to be Governor... It would be a nice change. Demand it and sustain it.

Re: “Many ideas, no consensus

Government has become an entity all unto itself and its main objective is to sustain Government and has totally lost sight as to what its true purpose is.

Re: “Is the Indy Grand Prix worth Louisiana’s investment?

I think there has to be a very serious discussion as to what the role of Government (on all levels) is and what are its responsibilities. Every single Government Program (again at all levels) should undergo a cost benefit analysis and we should get our priorities straight.

Re: “Is the Indy Grand Prix worth Louisiana’s investment?

Let me see If I have this right. The State is facing a $1,500,000,000 deficit next year with ongoing current deficits this fiscal year and our Politicians just granted NOLA Motorsports $4,500,000 to attract and promote an Indy Racing Event that has sold 4872 seats... You have got to be kidding me.
