Since they took a WR in the first round, they have to go Defense in the 2nd, right?
A good summary, but I have to disagree with the 3rd Round pick. Picking a CB in the first round will add enough competition. I don't see them drafting another CB in the 3rd. They'll look to add depth elsewhere with this pick.
And AhContraire - To quote the movie Billy Madison...
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
Well put, Jeff. Although I disagree with the 14%, they have the right to their own opinion. No matter what, though, they'll have to deal with it. Actually, they are probably dealing with it already.
According to a NY Times opinion piece (although it's opinion, there appears to be some research), the author estimates that 5% of American men are gay (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/08/opinion/sunday/how-many-american-men-are-gay.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0). That means approximately two players on a 52-man roster are gay. Will that number hold true for every single team? Maybe not, but you know that there are more out there. And it sucks that they can't be themselves for fear of alienating their teammates.
Good for Michael Sam for standing up for himself and something believes in.
