When a candidate has a lot of money, he tries to buy up all of the local talent: every PR firm and political consultant gets a retainer. The media all get to run lots of ads. The Audubon Nature Institute ("ANI") is not the public body that is charged with running the park: that's the Audubon Commission. ANI is a private non-profit corporation, with Forman as CEO, to which the Commission pays virtually all of the tax money it gets. So ANI, which is running what has to be a million dollar "Vote Yes" campaign, is using our tax money to try to sell us on giving them even more of our tax money. And apparently, the powers that be at Gambit are so enamored of the money they are being paid to run ads that the facts mean nothing. Shame on them.
