I think you're mistaking all cyclers with yuppies, person above. Good ole working class folk need to use that corador. They work at the hospitals, in the restaurants and bars, in the dome, they live downtown and work at one of the many amazing organizations on OCHaley or are on their way to visit their friends in Central City/LGD (or god forbid farther uptown). I ride my bike on Baronne. When I drive it primarily use S Rampart. I'm not necessarily a major proponent of bike lanes that don't have some version of barricade, but when riding down a two lane one way, it is unsafe not to take the entire lane. If you're going to take the entire lane, the road is down to one lane for cars anyway. I sometime ride this street EVERY DAY. I am never the only bike. Also, no one's going to cut over on Caliope. Just cut up Clio or Erato one block to OCHaley and enjoy the view (unless you're a yuppie invader, in which case cut down to St Charles and battle the other yuppies in bigger, faster vehicles).
Next time eat more acid.
