What the hell is this article about... If it's to criticize the reservation system, give your reasoning. If it's to inform customers of the system in place, give them background on why they should look to making reservations, maybe background info on the the chefs other food ventures such as root then give a personal opinion on what you think he has done at his new concept. Etc.

As far as issue with to go cups in that area. I think the argument by the city is that they believe it is increasing loitering rates which they are contributing to increased crime, traffic impedement, and safety issues. While the business is simply saying it is due to lack of personnel. As for a personal note: I have drank at the location and walk by it quite a bit, a couple security personnel or a doorman wouldn't be such a bad thing, and would most likely curb most of the cities issues.
Agree with Owen. New Orleans is specifically still a service/tourism industry. To Go cups do not increase crime rates (show me solid evidence it does) they don't increase alcoholism (again proof) and low alcohol taxes etc have no indication of higher alcoholic rates and mental illnesses. As for lowest life expectancy, that can be contributed to many factual things, our tobacco use rate, our eating habits as well as other things. Get out of your neanderthal thinking, it's people like you who jump to conclusions basing your views on emotional and quite frankly bullshit arguments instead of factual information whom we can thank for most of America's dumb laws.
