      <![CDATA[The need for an 8/29 Commission was underscored by the recent collapse of the I-35 bridge in Minnesota. Across the country, public works under Federal purview and in most cases tied in some way to the Corps of Engineers are being trusted by a public that incorrectly assumes that someone is watching over those structures.
