      <![CDATA[I have 2 pictures of my dad working as a waiter with a little white hat and a bow tie and the handwritten note of " A & G drive in summer of 1940" on it Does anyone know where this might have been? The screen  door is to the left of the building and the edge of a sign on the building is  to the right.

      <![CDATA[I was lucky enough to waitress and cashier at the A&G Restaurant at Elks Place and Canal during the 70's (same decade as the Rault Center burning down and the sniper attacks from the Howard Johnson's around the corner). At the time it was the only A&G restaurant in town left and our specialty of the house was the fried chicken platters.

      <![CDATA[I didn't know that the Mrs. Drake sandwiches were created by the same company! I used to love those... still remember the duck on the packages.<br>

LOL, when I was in high school my friends used to say the A&G stood for "Aggh and gag", but I always liked them.
