But a lot of these places are also in cities (NYC and SF, mainly) where people have expense accounts that makes the final bill of less than primary importance.

Commander's Palace and Emerils aren't even in the same conversation as French Laundry, Per Se, Aline, etc. when it comes to the actual cuisine.
