      <![CDATA[It's a pity that State Government isn't paying attention to two of the most populous Parishes in the State. Orleans and Jefferson Parishes recently decided that a strong OIG was needed to assure its citizens that a watchdog component of government would be at their behest to investigate matters of public corruption and government waste and to refer same for appropriate actions if warranted.
