People with a history of high blood pressure and diabetes can donate, if controlled by medication, diet or exercise. Most medications are acceptable. You cannot donate if you are pregnant or have given birth within the past six weeks. You must feel well and have no history of hepatitis past the age of 10.
For your convenience, the donor room is open from 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is also open by appointment from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The donor room is closed on Sundays and major holidays. You can either make an appointment or stop by the EJGH Blood Bank. The staff will make every effort to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
