April 8

9 p.m. Wednesday

The Parish at House of Blues, 225 Decatur St., 310-4999;

On a series of lo-fi recordings that sound (intentionally) like demos of demos, Los Angeles' one-man-band Ariel Pink comes across as the deranged DJ of a vintage psych/pop radio station, spinning his warped warbles and tinny, '70s-nicked melodies into time-traveled AM gold. Vivian Girls, a grungy, garage-bred female trio from Brooklyn, opens. Tickets $8.50.
