Armed Forces Day at the National World War II Museum

In a salute to the armed forces, the National World War II Museum will celebrate International Armed Forces Day with military bands, veterans, the Living History Corps, community service awards and more. The U.S. Marine Corps Band kicks off the festivities at 10 a.m. followed by a program honoring past and present members of the Armed Forces. Other highlights include the Living History Corps of veterans who wear their uniforms and share stories about their experiences in the military. During the following week, the museum holds its annual Victory Ball, a black tie gala which features guest chairman Henry Kissinger. Film screenings and guest authors also will be featured at the museum in advance of Memorial Day. Admission for Armed Forces Day is free to veterans, active military and their families.
