Art galleries citywide and some museums open new exhibitions at Art for Art's Sake. In the Warehouse District, there will be art installations and food booths on the 300 to 600 blocks of Julia Street. The Contemporary Arts Center hosts an afterparty (admission $10, free for CAC members) with entertainment by the Mardi Gras Indian Rhythm Section, N'Kafu Traditional African Dance Ensemble and others.
