Basque in the Wine — RioMar 

Chef/proprietor Adolfo Garcia describes the event he's planning at RioMar (800 S. Peters St., 525-3474; www.riomarseafood.com) Thursday, Sept. 17, as "a kegger, Basque-style." He'll tap a barrel of Txakoli, the lightly effervescent, tart white wine from Spain's Basque country that has grown increasingly popular in the U.S. The event starts at 7 p.m. and includes rosé, hard apple cider and Basque-style tapas dishes called pintxos. The cost is $40 and reservations are required.
