There are several notable beer events in New Orleans this week.

On Thursday, Domenica (123 Baronne St., 504-648-6020; www.domenicarestaurant.com) hosts a five-course dinner featuring beer pairings from Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Courses include oysters on the half shell with cherries, walnuts and fig balsamic paired with the brewery's Boiler Room Berliner Weisse, and field pea, mortadella and chanterelle country sausage served with Endeavor IPA. For dessert, butterscotch dolce s'mores are served with Bishops Barrel No. 10, a barleywine aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels.

The meal costs $85 (including tax and tip), and seating is limited. Visit www.shop.chefjohnbesh.com for infomation and to purchase tickets.

On Saturday, Saint Arnold participates in a beer pairing day at St. Roch Market (2381 St Claude Ave., 504-609-3813; www.strochmarket.com). Called "A Very Saintly Pairing," tickets are good for five St. Roch food vendors' dishes paired with Saint Arnold beers, plus iced coffee from Coast Roast Coffee. Participating vendors are Elysian Seafood, Dirty Dishes, King Creole, PDR NOLA and The Sweet Spot. Guests can dine from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The St. Roch event generally features more casual fare and lighter beers than the Domenica meal. Diners can sample beers from Saint Arnold's summer lineup, such as its Fancy Lawnmower Kolsch with King Creole's stone-ground grits with shrimp and smoked sausage in creamy tomato-basil sauce, or Summer Pils paired with Dirty Dishes' Dirty Mac with tasso, crawfish and pulled pork. Tickets are $45 at the door or $40 in advance via wwweventbrite.com.

Whole Foods Market at Arabella Station (5600 Magazine St., 504-899-9119; www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/arabellastation) holds a beer tasting event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Local and national craft breweries SweetWater Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Saint Arnold, Terrapin Beer Company, Finch's Beer Company, Covington Brewhouse, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Chafunkta Brewing Company, Bayou Teche Brewing and Tin Roof Brewing Company will set up stations in the breezeway corridor and offer beer samples and swag.
