Beer Pairing at La Cote Brasserie 

A special dinner at La Côte Brasserie (700 Tchoupitoulas St., 613-2350; on Wednesday, March 24, offers a chance to find out how German-style kolsch beer complements redfish ceviche and how spiced ale from Mississippi goes with pork belly and satsuma reduction. Those pairings are included in chef Chuck Subra's five-course beer dinner, which features brews from Covington's Heiner Brau ( and Lazy Magnolia Brewing ( of Kiln, Miss. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and costs $60, plus tax and tip.
