Big Hair Productions Presents "Tuesday Bloody Tuesday"

It only comes around once in a century -- the black-magical sixth day of the sixth month of the sixth year. To mark this (in)auspicious date, Big Hair Productions has spawned an evening of shouting at the devil with a multiple-band tribute to (who else?) Black Sabbath. Local bands will offer up their interpretations of Ozzy's finest, each lending their own signature stamp to the set list. Knob-twiddlers Electrical Spectacle have reunited specifically in order to throw down their industrial-electronic take. Jonathan Freilich and Dark Shabbos will put a klezmer spin on the material. Chef Menteur will weave a trancey, ambient homage to the dark lords of rock 'n' roll, including a version of "War Pigs" cobbled together from samples of the current president's speeches, and space-rock act Shatner will add its own psychedelic twist to the proceedings. The Twisted Karaoke Band will close out the night by offering fans the chance to channel the spirit of Sabbath for themselves. Biting the head off of a bat is optional; please supply your own. Tickets $6.66 (of course). -- Alison Fensterstock
